I’ve basically been a busy little bee lately. I’ve created a bunch of Hubpages that go over my weight loss and dieting tips. Things I’ve learned from Sparkpeople. I talk a lot about Sparkpeople in most of them and all of them speak directly to calorie counting (the Hubpages I mean). The best part is I’m making money off the pages. Oddly enough I’m making about 2-3 bucks a day with my articles and it’s writing about something i love.

Besides my weight loss articles I’m busy reading about party dresses and cheap Legos. Yes toys, I know that’s weird but being a former teacher I like reading about toys (and hopefully we’ll be preggers one day soon so i can buy some.)

The weight loss is going slowly but it’s going. I now am finally down to 2 asses instead of 3. If I could just whittle down some of my chins I’d be set. It really bugs me that of all my asses and chins, it’s my boobs that seem to disappear first. It’s God’s little joke I think. On the other hand seeing the empty pouches in my bra is encouraging me to check out more clothes. At least something is smaller right? I’m down 24 pounds now and really happy about it.

My second love in life (OK it’s my first, but don’t tell my husband) is shoes. I’m writing a lot about shoes and just wrote a great Hub on platform heels. You can see some pictures of my crazy shoe collection on the platform boots site.

I’ve also moved my main wedding site to planning a wedding now dot com (instead of blogspot). If you have an affinity for saving money or want some tips to save a lot of money on your wedding you can head over there and check it out.

Ok update over and back to my salad (yes sometimes I eat them). Today I kinda have to eat a salad for dinner cuz I ate a whole packet of Marie cookies between yesterday and today and I just don’t have that many calories left *cry*. Well next time I tell my husband to hide the cookies, he’ll find a better spot =P

Anyway head over toHubpages if you like to write about all kinds of stuff and get paid to do it. (You’re probably not going to retire on the money, but hey every bit counts right?) and unlike this blog, you just write your Hubpage and publish it.

PS: I decided to say screw it to grammar and punctuation so I could actually finish a post while I’m at a computer.

If you have any questions leave me a comment =)

During my usual browsing of the web, where my chief objective is to find something to buy, I tend to generally gravitate towards beauty and shoe sites. I am, after all , a woman. Pouty lips and sassy clothes are my life. Aren’t they yours?

As a woman, there are a few things that find vital to my existence, the best lip gloss for kissing, and any site involving shoes and weddings. Shoes and weddings, I should say, are the ultimate find. So when I find sites that advertise exactly what I’m looking for, I tend to gravitate towards them and when i don’t find it, I make it.

I have over 80 pairs of shoes in my closet, so it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that I’m a shoe hound. I can’t really understand anyone that doesn’t see the true value of shoes. Shoes of all kinds, but mostly platform shoes. Yum yum yum. I’m not stupid, when you love something this much you make a site about it and thats what I did. A full site on wedding shoes. So there it is my site all about wedding shoes. You’re going to love it.

Lip gloss is the other obsession of mine. I must own about 20 different types of gloss for any occasion, but to be quite honest the only one I care about is the one that gets my husband to kiss me. He’s very picky about lip color and such, which all men are but shouldn’t be =P, and he will definitely say when he does not like what lip flavors I’m wearing. So I’m happy to say I agree with Alabama over at thebestlipgloss.com when she says to listen to your friends when choosing the best lip gloss.

So for most of you that know me, you know I prefer gay men to straight men (my husband and exhusband excluded – they’re special). I’ve been a faghag my whole life and quite frankly I just like gay men better. Their wittier, more fun and oodles more helpful in the fashion department. Anyway I wrote about my trials and tribulations of being a faghag on my Hubpages, which I hope you’ll read.

If you weren’t able to make my wedding I’ve posted my wedding pictures, including a shot of my most gorgeous wedding shoes, which caused quite a stir, on my personal blog.

For those of you that don’t know me, this blog is a miniscule glimpse into my soul, but I have more to come.
Catch up on old posts or follow some of my new ones.

For everyone, I’ve launched some websites where I help things like planning a wedding and finding cheap bridesmaid dresses and of course wedding shoes (my favorite subject *drool* shoes shoes shoes), among other topics. I hope you’ll look them up for some ideas.

I have some great experiences while planning my own wedding, which save money and time.

See ya soon for another weight loss update (17 pounds and counting)

The average American is size 14, Brit size 16, French size 8.. with these statistics of veracious amount of consumers, why is the average designer making clothes which most of only look good on a size 6 and lower?

I have to admit, I watch fashion week with a bit of skepticism and a lot of envy. Don’t get me wrong, I do not want to be one of those rail thin models that eats an olive and claims she’s full. I like food, dammit. There isn’t a Chanel wardrobe out there, and I love Chanel, for which I would trade for Taco Bell.

I see these crickets with human heads marching down a big runway wearing the latest clothing lines from top designers and i just have to ask myself …who are these designers marketing to? 60% of us Americans are overweight, 30% are obese and you are advertising clothing using an animated broomstick?

OK maybe you’re not marketing to American women. Maybe you’re aiming to the French (they are, after all, the end word on fashion and beauty). According to the article The French Are Getting Taller and Fatter by ANGELA DOLAND Associated Press Writer, results from a commission done by the French fashion industry indicate “The average French woman today is just over 5 feet 3 inches tall and 137.6 pounds, compared to 5 feet 2 1/2 inches tall and 133.6 pounds in 1970. Women’s waistlines in particular have thickened.” . Even the French are not size 0.

The average American is size 14, Brit size 16, French size 8.. with these statistics of veracious amount of consumers, why is the average designer making clothes which most of only look good on a size 6 and lower?

So who are the designers marketing their products for?

Where are all the real women’s fashion designers? Where are the clothes that I can wear? Even when I was thinner I didn’t slap a fabric square on my boobs and call it fashion. And judging by what some of these designers make, that fabric square would have been too much material anyway!

I’m calling for a revolution! No more size 0 models! No more size 4 models! A revolution where women can eat and be a healthy weight! Start the revolution: send a model a Ding Dong or a Twinkie! Hell send them a box!

12. A great gynecologist – If you do not have a gynecologist you can trust, ask a friend for a recommendation. I would say ask your mother, but there are some things that I, personally, would mind. Knowing this man/woman has seen my mother’s hoohoo would be one of those things. What if there was a comparison!? Ack!

11. That female friend with whom you can talk about sex openly – I wish I had known Samantha from Sex and the City when I was younger. My life would have been so much easier. Gawd imagine the orgasms I wouldn’t have faked!

10. A male gay friend – Gay or straight men are basically the same, except the gays are cleaner, better dressed, better groomed, funnier.. OK they aren’t the same, but I can’t quite explain the actual value of this friend, though I will try. You rarely have to worry about jealousy. You can go to certain bars without being self-conscious. You get told all the time about how gorgeous you are, by gorgeous men! And you never, ever, ever have to worry about them being interested in your crotch!

9. One brand name designer handbag – I cannot tell you how many times, when feeling low, I have put my wallet into my Coach handbag and been happier, almost instantly. There is something about owning a decadent accessory that makes you swing your hips a little more, makes you step a little lighter, makes you smile, and sigh, and go “mmmmmmmmmmm”. Visit your local consignment shop!

8. One pair of incredible shoes – If you do not own a pair of shoes which, when worn, make your feet feel like they stepped into heaven and your psyche go into multiple orgasms, buy a pair! And not sneakers!!!!!!

7. A no-nonsense gym - This gym is for working out. This gym is for sweating. This gym is for losing weight, gaining weight, working hard, relieving stress. This gym is not for wearing makeup, fancy leotards, leg warmers (*slap*) or scoping men (though if this happens its a good thing!).

6. A great vibrator – Pink Bunny Rabbit Vibrator. Personally I love my bunny. I wouldn’t trade it for the world.

5. This Oprah article or episode – The Best Life Week with Dr. Laura Berman – Show Recap . If you can find this episode somewhere to watch, I highly recommend it. I believe it changed my sex life for the better.

4. A pet, if you’re single – Dog, cat, fish, gerbil, hamster, rabbit, mouse, rat, snake, spider, beetle.. I don’t care what you get, but find one. I don’t think that married women need a pet, but I still recommend it. A pet is a part of life which is independent of any other part. It has nothing to do with work, men, family, food or weight. Its just there to love and be loved.

3. Sex and the City – The Complete Series (Collector’s Giftset) – A lot of questions and stereotypes of women are really thrown out the window with this show. This show is the ultimate in feminine feminism. Its about the fact that these are women, who act like women, and act like men. Its frank and honest. Its funny and heartbreaking. I love every second of it!

2. A diary – This is just for yourself. Everything you want to say. Write a page about what you wanted to say to that freaking skank that pushed ahead of you today. Write a page about that guy that didn’t call you back. Write a page about that orgasm you had and how you got it. Most importantly read your pages. Get a better understanding of yourself.

Carrie - Sex and the City - HB)

1. A little black dress – The best piece of clothing in your closet! It should fit perfectly and allow for some imperfections!

I purposefully did not put partners into this article. Women do not need a partner. We are strong and capable and self-sufficient.

But wouldn’t say no if you find him or her!

If you’ve read my article on being poor and losing weight then you know I’m a big girl. What you don’t know is that I haven’t always been a big girl and that one of the reasons I want to be a small girl again is the fabulous clothes. (although I hinted at that already)

I love clothes. Oddly enough, at the moment, I dress like a cross between Meg Ryan at the beginning of My Mom’s New Boyfriend and Robin Williams in The Fisher King. Its not a pretty sight.

With my size 4 Anne Klein jacket lying unworn in my closet, I am fighting every donut laden step to wear it! Does anyone notice that as soon as you say the word “diet”, millions of twinkies, donuts, slurpees and ding dongs fly at your head and fall at your feet?

But I digress. While I sit daily and do my workouts, I love to dream up the outfits in my head. My inspiration is Sex and the City character Carrie. Her shoes alone could make up for a store full of ding dongs. And dammit I would have had sex with that old guy for those freaking Jimmy Choos. Was she crazy turning that down? (watch the show if you haven’t, just for that episode alone).

So today I present the first in my series of : Favorite shopping holes!

Since I live in Sweden I am going to blog about my personal favorite shop ever Overstock.com. I usually buy and ship to my folks in Denver and then have my parents ship it to me here. Their prices and items are so amazing.

Prada shoes – Yummy!

Ferragamo

Diamonds, sapphires, rubies Oh my

Its a cornucopia of shopping.

I hope you like the first in my series of shopping excursions.

I would also love any articles people could write about their consignment shops. Those are fabulous.
