During my usual browsing of the web, where my chief objective is to find something to buy, I tend to generally gravitate towards beauty and shoe sites. I am, after all , a woman. Pouty lips and sassy clothes are my life. Aren’t they yours?

As a woman, there are a few things that find vital to my existence, the best lip gloss for kissing, and any site involving shoes and weddings. Shoes and weddings, I should say, are the ultimate find. So when I find sites that advertise exactly what I’m looking for, I tend to gravitate towards them and when i don’t find it, I make it.

I have over 80 pairs of shoes in my closet, so it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that I’m a shoe hound. I can’t really understand anyone that doesn’t see the true value of shoes. Shoes of all kinds, but mostly platform shoes. Yum yum yum. I’m not stupid, when you love something this much you make a site about it and thats what I did. A full site on wedding shoes. So there it is my site all about wedding shoes. You’re going to love it.

Lip gloss is the other obsession of mine. I must own about 20 different types of gloss for any occasion, but to be quite honest the only one I care about is the one that gets my husband to kiss me. He’s very picky about lip color and such, which all men are but shouldn’t be =P, and he will definitely say when he does not like what lip flavors I’m wearing. So I’m happy to say I agree with Alabama over at thebestlipgloss.com when she says to listen to your friends when choosing the best lip gloss.

The average American is size 14, Brit size 16, French size 8.. with these statistics of veracious amount of consumers, why is the average designer making clothes which most of only look good on a size 6 and lower?

I have to admit, I watch fashion week with a bit of skepticism and a lot of envy. Don’t get me wrong, I do not want to be one of those rail thin models that eats an olive and claims she’s full. I like food, dammit. There isn’t a Chanel wardrobe out there, and I love Chanel, for which I would trade for Taco Bell.

I see these crickets with human heads marching down a big runway wearing the latest clothing lines from top designers and i just have to ask myself …who are these designers marketing to? 60% of us Americans are overweight, 30% are obese and you are advertising clothing using an animated broomstick?

OK maybe you’re not marketing to American women. Maybe you’re aiming to the French (they are, after all, the end word on fashion and beauty). According to the article The French Are Getting Taller and Fatter by ANGELA DOLAND Associated Press Writer, results from a commission done by the French fashion industry indicate “The average French woman today is just over 5 feet 3 inches tall and 137.6 pounds, compared to 5 feet 2 1/2 inches tall and 133.6 pounds in 1970. Women’s waistlines in particular have thickened.” . Even the French are not size 0.

The average American is size 14, Brit size 16, French size 8.. with these statistics of veracious amount of consumers, why is the average designer making clothes which most of only look good on a size 6 and lower?

So who are the designers marketing their products for?

Where are all the real women’s fashion designers? Where are the clothes that I can wear? Even when I was thinner I didn’t slap a fabric square on my boobs and call it fashion. And judging by what some of these designers make, that fabric square would have been too much material anyway!

I’m calling for a revolution! No more size 0 models! No more size 4 models! A revolution where women can eat and be a healthy weight! Start the revolution: send a model a Ding Dong or a Twinkie! Hell send them a box!
