The inter-connection of Style and Weight
The importance of being stylish
If you’ve read my article on being poor and losing weight then you know I’m a big girl. What you don’t know is that I haven’t always been a big girl and that one of the reasons I want to be a small girl again is the fabulous clothes. (although I hinted at that already)
I love clothes. Oddly enough, at the moment, I dress like a cross between Meg Ryan at the beginning of My Mom’s New Boyfriend and Robin Williams in The Fisher King. Its not a pretty sight.

With my size 4 Anne Klein jacket lying unworn in my closet, I am fighting every donut laden step to wear it! Does anyone notice that as soon as you say the word “diet”, millions of twinkies, donuts, slurpees and ding dongs fly at your head and fall at your feet?
But I digress. While I sit daily and do my workouts, I love to dream up the outfits in my head. My inspiration is Sex and the City character Carrie. Her shoes alone could make up for a store full of ding dongs. And dammit I would have had sex with that old guy for those freaking Jimmy Choos. Was she crazy turning that down? (watch the show if you haven’t, just for that episode alone).
So today I present the first in my series of : Favorite shopping holes!
Since I live in Sweden I am going to blog about my personal favorite shop ever Overstock.com. I usually buy and ship to my folks in Denver and then have my parents ship it to me here. Their prices and items are so amazing.
Prada shoes – Yummy!
Ferragamo
Diamonds, sapphires, rubies Oh my
Its a cornucopia of shopping.
I hope you like the first in my series of shopping excursions.
I would also love any articles people could write about their consignment shops. Those are fabulous.
